Traditionally a partner dance where couples learn steps and patterns, danced rhythmically to music.

Here at Kären Byron School of Dancing we teach all of the popular ballroom dances including the Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Quickstep and Viennese Waltz.

Release your inner passion as you take to the floor to learn the steps and patterns of Latin American dance.

With well known favourites such as the Cha Cha Cha, Paso Doblé, Samba, Rumba and Jive, there's bound to be a dance for you.

No partner, no problem - we cater for solo dancers too.

sequence

Sequence is a dance form with a fixed sequence of steps and is one of the most popular forms of dancing in the UK.
It's a fantastic hobby for all ages and levels of experience, there's sure to be a form that you'll love.

MODERN

Based on classics such as the Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango and Quickstep

LATIN

Dances based on the latin rhythm, including Rumba, Samba, Cha Cha Cha, Jive, Mambo and more

Classical (old time)

Classical sequence (formally known as Old Time) is based on dances from as far back at the 17th Century and includes Classical Waltz, Two Steps, Saunters, Gavottes and Mazurkas.

alternative rhythms

salsa and merengue

A hugely popular sexy, energetic and fun partner dance.

Don't have a partner? No problem! This style of dancing is very sociable so a regular partner isn't needed.

Why not transport yourself to Buenos Aires and share a moment of intimacy with this sensual dance that involves quick, graceful and playful movements?

Rock & Roll

Originating from the Lindy Hop, Rock and Roll is a lively and energetic form of dance that is choreographed for both couples and groups. Fast and physically demanding, it's great exercise and a lot of fun to learn.

A form of Ballroom dance with an enhanced repertoire of easy to perform yet exciting steps. This is a great form of dance for people of all abilities and ages.
